Starting from PV equals nRT, solving for temperature yields a direct path from measured or stated pressure, container volume, and mole count to kelvin without a molecular formula or density measurement. The same path appears in general chemistry homework that gives P, V, and n and asks for T, in lab prep that checks whether a filled flask sits near room temperature or ice-point conditions, and in process checks that convert online pressure and volume readings into an effective absolute temperature under ideal assumptions. Typical textbook checks include one atmosphere, about twenty-two point four one four litres, and one mole yielding roughly two hundred seventy-three kelvin with the default gas constant, and twice the pressure at fixed V and n doubling T.
