ISO week number calculator
This ISO week number calculator takes a single Gregorian calendar date in YYYY-MM-DD form and returns its ISO-8601 week number together with the week-numbering year those two values belong to.
Run — free
ISO weeks always start on Monday and end on Sunday, and week 1 of a year is the week that contains that year's first Thursday — which is why late December and early January often report a week-year that differs from the civil year on the calendar. Classic checks include 2024-01-01 mapping to week 1 of 2024, and 2021-01-01 mapping to week 53 of 2020. The engine uses only deterministic integer calendar arithmetic: leap years, month lengths, ordinal day-of-year, and ISO weekday are computed without network calls, random sampling, or the host clock. Use it free in the browser for planning, payroll, and compliance worksheets, or call the API at $0.002 per successful request when you need reproducible week labels in CI, reporting pipelines, or product features.

API endpoint
Prefer to automate it? One authenticated POST creates the task; the result comes back by webhook or a signed link. The same capability also runs here on the web, by email and from Telegram — and soon from our app too.
